Ingredients
2 large apples, peeled and cut into 8 slices each
1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles.
- Place one apple slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll the dough around it to form a dumpling.
- Arrange the dumplings in the prepared baking dish.
- In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon until combined.
- Pour the mixture evenly over the dumplings.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the apples are tender.
- Let cool slightly before serving so the sauce thickens.
