5 Ingredient Apple Dumplings

Ingredients

2 large apples, peeled and cut into 8 slices each

1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough

1/2 cup unsalted butter

3/4 cup brown sugar

1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Separate the crescent roll dough into triangles.
  3. Place one apple slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll the dough around it to form a dumpling.
  4. Arrange the dumplings in the prepared baking dish.
  5. In a small saucepan, melt the butter and stir in the brown sugar and cinnamon until combined.
  6. Pour the mixture evenly over the dumplings.
  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until the dumplings are golden brown and the apples are tender.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving so the sauce thickens.
