Chili Cheese Dog Bread

Great recipe!! Very easy to make!! Only reason I gave it four stars is I’m grading Super Bowl day snack recipes and there are others that were better than this one.
Otherwise.. this is a great party recipe and a go-to for any other time of the year.

I love a good chili cheese dog, all warm, cheese melted, lots of savory beef chili and a hot dog with a good snap when bitten into. Now double the cheese and chili and stuff it in a french baguette and slice it up to serve and you have my Chili Cheese Dog Stuffed Bread!

This Chili Cheese Dog Stuffed Bread is outta this world easy to make and so, so good! Now I’m a BIG fan of Farmer John breakfast sausages, so when they asked to collaborate, I checked out their line of beefy hot dogs and am I impressed! Juicy, flavorful and perfect for a chili cheese dog idea I had.

INGREDIENTS
1 baguette
1 1/2 c. shredded cheddar, divided
4 hot dogs, depending on the length of your baguette
1 can premade chili
2 tbsp. chives, for garnish

DIRECTIONS
Preheat oven to 375°. Cut a small “V” down the length of the baguette and pull out some of the inside of the baguette, creating a boat.
Sprinkle 1 cup cheddar on the bottom of the baguette, then place hot dogs end to end until the baguette is filled. (This might mean cutting a hot dog to fit, depending on the size of your bread.)
Spoon chili over hot dogs and top with the remaining cheddar. Bake until warmed through and melty, about 25 minutes.
Let cool slightly, then garnish with chives. Slice into 3″-long segments and serve.
