CHOCOLATE LASAGNA

Ingredients

36 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo), crushed

6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

For the cream layer

8 ounces cream cheese, softened

1/4 cup sugar

2 tablespoons milk

1 1/4 cups whipped topping

For the chocolate layer

2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix

3 cups cold milk

For the topping

2 cups whipped topping

1/4 cup chocolate chips or chocolate shavings (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter until evenly mixed.
  2. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form the crust. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes to set.
  3. In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy.
  4. Fold in the whipped topping and spread this mixture evenly over the chilled cookie crust.
  5. In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thick.
  6. Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
  7. Top with the remaining whipped topping and spread smoothly.
  8. Sprinkle chocolate chips or chocolate shavings on top if desired.
  9. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before slicing.
