Ingredients
36 chocolate sandwich cookies (such as Oreo), crushed
6 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
For the cream layer
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons milk
1 1/4 cups whipped topping
For the chocolate layer
2 packages (3.9 oz each) instant chocolate pudding mix
3 cups cold milk
For the topping
2 cups whipped topping
1/4 cup chocolate chips or chocolate shavings (optional)
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine the crushed chocolate cookies and melted butter until evenly mixed.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch dish to form the crust. Refrigerate for about 15 minutes to set.
- In a mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and milk until smooth and creamy.
- Fold in the whipped topping and spread this mixture evenly over the chilled cookie crust.
- In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thick.
- Spread the pudding mixture evenly over the cream cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining whipped topping and spread smoothly.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips or chocolate shavings on top if desired.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until fully set before slicing.
