This dish isn’t flashy or complicated, but that’s exactly why it’s so loved. It delivers cozy, homemade flavor with minimal prep, making it a recipe you’ll come back to again and again when you want something easy, filling, and deeply satisfying.
Ingredients
2 pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts or thighs
2 packets chicken gravy mix
1 can cream of chicken soup
1½ cups chicken broth
½ teaspoon black pepper
Optional: ½ teaspoon garlic powder or onion powder
Instructions
Place the chicken in the bottom of the crock pot. In a bowl, whisk together the gravy mix, cream of chicken soup, chicken broth, black pepper, and optional seasonings until smooth. Pour the mixture over the chicken, making sure it’s well coated. Cover and cook on low for 6–7 hours or on high for 3–4 hours, until the chicken is very tender. Shred or leave the chicken whole, stirring it into the gravy before serving. Serve hot over mashed potatoes, rice, or noodles.
