Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
½ pound Italian sausage, casings removed
1 cup sliced pepperoni
1 small onion, diced
2 cloves garlic, minced
1½ cups marinara or pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
1 refrigerated pie crust (or homemade)
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 tablespoon olive oil
Directions
Preheat oven to 375°F. Press pie crust into a deep pie plate and prick bottom with a fork. Set aside.
Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add onion and garlic, sauté until softened. Add ground beef and sausage. Cook until browned, breaking up meat. Drain excess grease.
Stir in Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and 1 cup of marinara sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes.
Layer half the mozzarella cheese in the bottom of the crust. Add half the meat mixture, then layer half the pepperoni. Repeat layers. Top with remaining sauce, cheddar cheese, and a few more slices of pepperoni.
Bake uncovered for 35–40 minutes or until crust is golden and filling is bubbly. Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing.
