Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
½ cup chopped onion
1 cup barbecue sauce
½ cup Dr. Pepper soda
1 tablespoon tomato paste
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions
In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef and chopped onion until the meat is browned and onions are soft. Drain excess grease.
Stir in the barbecue sauce, Dr. Pepper, and tomato paste. Mix well and bring to a simmer.
Reduce heat and cook for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens slightly.
Season with salt and pepper to taste.
