Ingredients
6 large roasted green chiles, peeled and seeds removed (leave whole or slice into strips)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
1 cup cold beer
1 cup panko bread crumbs
Oil for frying
Instructions
In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
Slowly pour in the cold beer, whisking until a smooth batter forms. The batter should be thick enough to coat the chiles but still slightly runny.
Place panko breadcrumbs in a shallow dish.
Heat oil in a deep skillet or pot to 350°F (175°C).
Dip each green chile into the beer batter, letting excess drip off. Roll gently in panko breadcrumbs to coat evenly.
Carefully place into hot oil and fry for 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.
Remove and drain on paper towels.
Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
