Directions
Heat oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add diced potatoes and cook undisturbed for 5–7 minutes until they begin to crisp.
Stir, add sliced onions, and continue cooking for another 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden brown and tender.
Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder if using.
Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs if desired. Serve warm.
