Ingredients
- 4 medium potatoes (russet or Yukon gold), peeled and sliced
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 3–4 tablespoons oil (vegetable or olive oil)
- Salt, to taste
- Black pepper, to taste
- Optional: paprika, garlic powder, fresh parsley
Instructions
- Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add sliced potatoes in a single layer. Let them cook without stirring for 4–5 minutes to develop a crust.
- Flip and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are golden and nearly tender (about 10–15 minutes).
- Add sliced onions to the skillet.
- Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
- Cook for another 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft and caramelized and potatoes are fully cooked.
- Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
