FRIED POTATOES & ONIONS

Ingredients

  • 4 medium potatoes (russet or Yukon gold), peeled and sliced
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 3–4 tablespoons oil (vegetable or olive oil)
  • Salt, to taste
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Optional: paprika, garlic powder, fresh parsley

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add sliced potatoes in a single layer. Let them cook without stirring for 4–5 minutes to develop a crust.
  3. Flip and continue cooking, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are golden and nearly tender (about 10–15 minutes).
  4. Add sliced onions to the skillet.
  5. Season with salt, pepper, and optional spices.
  6. Cook for another 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until onions are soft and caramelized and potatoes are fully cooked.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley if desired and serve hot.
