Ingredients

For the Brownie Layer:

• 1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted

• 1 ½ cups granulated sugar

• 1 cup brown sugar, packed

• 4 large eggs

• 2 teaspoons vanilla extract

• 1 cup all-purpose flour

• ¾ cup unsweetened cocoa powder

• ½ teaspoon salt

• ½ teaspoon baking powder

• 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

For the Cheesecake Layer:

• 16 oz (2 packages) cream cheese, softened

• ½ cup granulated sugar

• 2 large eggs

• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

• ¼ cup sour cream

Instructions

1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan

• Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).

• Line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper and lightly grease it.

2. Make the Brownie Batter

• In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.

• Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract.

• In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.

• Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.

• Stir in chocolate chips.

• Pour ¾ of the brownie batter into the prepared pan, spreading it evenly.

3. Make the Cheesecake Layer

• In another bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.

• Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in vanilla extract and sour cream until well combined.

• Pour the cheesecake batter over the brownie layer, spreading it evenly.

4. Add the Final Brownie Swirl

• Drop spoonfuls of the remaining brownie batter over the cheesecake layer.

• Use a knife or toothpick to gently swirl the brownie and cheesecake layers together for a marbled effect.

5. Bake

• Bake for 40-45 minutes, or until the cheesecake layer is set and a toothpick inserted into the brownies comes out with a few moist crumbs.

6. Cool & Serve

• Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before slicing. For best results, chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours before cutting into squares.
