The spaghetti acts as the perfect base, absorbing the buttery sauce and creating a silky, comforting bite every time. A touch of pasta water helps emulsify the sauce, making it glossy and rich without being heavy. Finished with fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon, or a sprinkle of Parmesan, this dish is versatile enough for a weeknight dinner yet impressive enough for date night or guests.
If you love bold, savory flavors and hearty meals, this garlic butter steak and shrimp pasta will quickly become a favorite. It’s filling, flavorful, and endlessly satisfying, delivering that “special occasion” feeling with minimal effort and maximum reward.
Ingredients
12 oz spaghetti
12 oz steak (ribeye or sirloin), cut into bite-size pieces
10–12 large shrimp, peeled and deveined
4 tablespoons butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
2 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and black pepper to taste
½ teaspoon paprika
½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
½ cup reserved pasta water
Fresh parsley, chopped
Grated Parmesan, optional
Instructions
Cook spaghetti in salted water according to package instructions. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain.
Season steak with salt, pepper, and paprika. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear steak until browned and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add shrimp, season lightly, and cook 1–2 minutes per side until pink. Remove and set aside with the steak.
Lower heat to medium, add butter and garlic to the skillet, and sauté until fragrant.
Add cooked spaghetti and reserved pasta water, tossing to coat.
Return steak and shrimp to the pan, sprinkle with Italian seasoning and red pepper flakes, and toss gently.
Finish with parsley and Parmesan if desired. Serve hot.
