Kitchen Equipment You’ll Need
Large skillet or cast iron pan
Large pot for boiling pasta
Mixing bowls
Tongs or spatula
Measuring spoons and cups
Knife and cutting board
Tips for Success
Use room-temperature steak for even cooking. Don’t overcrowd the pan—sear steak bites in batches. Reserve some pasta water to adjust sauce thickness. Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor.
Ingredients
For the steak bites:
1 lb sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized pieces
2 tablespoons butter
4 garlic cloves, minced
Salt and black pepper, to taste
1 teaspoon paprika
For the Cajun Alfredo Pasta:
8 oz twisted pasta (like rotini or fusilli)
2 tablespoons butter
1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning (adjust to taste)
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 ½ cups heavy cream
¾ cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and pepper, to taste
Parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Directions
- Cook pasta in salted water until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Season steak pieces with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat butter in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add steak in a single layer and sear for 2–3 minutes per side until browned and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter, add garlic, and sauté for 30 seconds. Stir in Cajun seasoning.
- Pour in heavy cream and bring to a simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cooked pasta to the sauce, tossing to coat. Use reserved pasta water to loosen sauce if needed.
- Add steak bites back into the skillet and stir gently to combine.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve immediately.
Additional Tips or Variations
Swap steak with chicken or shrimp for a twist. Add spinach or sun-dried tomatoes to the sauce for extra flavor. Use penne or farfalle if twisted pasta is unavailable. Adjust Cajun seasoning to your spice preference.
