One of the best things about this stew is how flexible it is. You can use fresh, canned, or frozen green beans. Baby potatoes can be swapped with regular diced potatoes. You can make it spicier with andouille sausage or add flavor boosters like garlic, paprika, bay leaves, or even a splash of broth concentrate. This stew works perfectly for busy weeknights, cold-weather comfort meals, or meal prepping since the flavors get even better the next day.
It’s a true one-pot comfort dish — savory, smoky, filling, and cozy. Serve it as is, with cornbread, biscuits, or over rice for an extra hearty meal. Every bowl delivers warm, home-style flavor that never disappoints.
