Ingredients
1 pound ground beef
3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced
1 small onion, chopped
1/2 green bell pepper, diced
2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)
2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to become tender and lightly golden.
- Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
- Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
- Stir everything together and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
- Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until the potatoes are fully tender and slightly crispy.
- Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top if using and allow it to melt before serving.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
