HAMBURGER HASH RECIPE

Ingredients

1 pound ground beef

3 medium potatoes, peeled and diced

1 small onion, chopped

1/2 green bell pepper, diced

2 tablespoons vegetable oil

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon paprika

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (optional)

2 tablespoons chopped parsley (optional)

Instructions

  1. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the diced potatoes and cook for about 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until they start to become tender and lightly golden.
  3. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper to the skillet and cook for 3–4 minutes until softened.
  4. Push the vegetables to one side of the skillet and add the ground beef. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon.
  5. Stir everything together and season with garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper.
  6. Continue cooking for another 5 minutes until the potatoes are fully tender and slightly crispy.
  7. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese on top if using and allow it to melt before serving.
  8. Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
