Ingredients
½ pound ground beef
½ pound ground pork sausage
1 pound processed cheese (Velveeta), cubed
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
½ teaspoon garlic powder
½ teaspoon onion powder
¼ teaspoon black pepper
Rye bread or cocktail rye slices, halved or quartered
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef and sausage together until fully cooked, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease.
Reduce heat to low and add the cubed cheese, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Stir constantly until the cheese is fully melted and the mixture is smooth.
Arrange the rye bread pieces on a baking sheet. Spoon a generous amount of the meat and cheese mixture onto each piece.
Bake for 10–12 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the edges of the bread are lightly toasted.
Serve warm and enjoy.
