• Butterscotch sauce

• Crushed butterscotch candies (optional)

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven & Prepare Pan:

• Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

• Line a cupcake pan with liners.

2. Make the Cupcake Batter:

• In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

• In a separate bowl, beat butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

• Add eggs, vanilla, and butter extract; mix well.

• Alternately add dry ingredients with buttermilk and cream soda, mixing until just combined.

3. Bake the Cupcakes:

• Fill cupcake liners ¾ full with batter.

• Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

• Let cool completely before frosting.

4. Make the Butterbeer Frosting:

• Beat butter until smooth.

• Gradually add powdered sugar, then mix in heavy cream, vanilla, butter extract, and butterscotch sauce.

• Beat until fluffy.

5. Decorate & Serve:

• Pipe frosting onto cooled cupcakes.
