Heavenly Pineapple Cheeseball

Ingredients:
• 2 (8 oz.) packages cream cheese, softened to room temperature
• 1 (8 oz.) can crushed pineapple, drained thoroughly
• 1/2 cup chopped green onions
• 1/2 cup chopped green pepper
• 1 teaspoon lemon pepper seasoning
• 1 teaspoon seasoning salt
• 1 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
• Assorted crackers, apple slices, or vegetables for serving

Instructions:
Step 1: Prepare the Cheese Mixture
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, drained crushed pineapple, chopped green onions, and chopped green pepper.
2. Add lemon pepper seasoning and seasoning salt.
3. Use an electric mixer to blend the ingredients until smooth and well combined.
Step 2: Chill the Mixture
1. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate the mixture for at least 30 minutes to allow it to firm up slightly.
Step 3: Form the Cheese Ball
1. Remove the mixture from the refrigerator and place it onto a piece of plastic wrap.
2. Use the plastic wrap to help shape the mixture into a ball. This will prevent sticking and make handling easier.
Step 4: Coat with Nuts
1. Place the chopped pecans or walnuts on a flat surface.
2. Unwrap the cheese ball and roll it in the nuts, pressing gently to ensure they stick evenly.
Step 5: Chill and Serve
1. Wrap the nut-coated cheese ball in fresh plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight to set.
2. Serve with crackers, apple slices, or fresh vegetables.
Tips:
• Drain the Pineapple: Ensure the pineapple is thoroughly drained to avoid a soggy mixture.
• Customize: Feel free to add other ingredients like diced celery or a sprinkle of paprika for extra flavor.
• Storage: Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
