Ingredients

  • 12 lasagna noodles (cooked)
  • 500g ground beef
  • 1 jar (about 700g) marinara sauce
  • 1 small onion (chopped)
  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning

Cheese layer:

  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese

Topping:

  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a pan, cook ground beef with chopped onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Add marinara sauce, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 5–10 minutes.
  4. In a bowl, mix ricotta, cream cheese, sour cream, egg, and parmesan until smooth.
  5. In a baking dish, spread a layer of meat sauce, then noodles, then cheese mixture.
  6. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with meat sauce on top.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese evenly over the top.
  8. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then uncover and bake another 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes before slicing.
