Tips for Success
Use Hawaiian rolls for sweetness and softness
Press the rolls gently after assembling to help them hold together
Don’t skip the jam for dipping—it brings out the signature flavor
Brush with butter before baking for golden tops
Ingredients
1 package (12-count) slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls
6 slices deli ham
6 slices deli turkey
6 slices Swiss cheese
3 eggs
⅓ cup milk
2 tablespoons butter, melted
Powdered sugar, for garnish
Jam (raspberry or strawberry), for serving
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F. Slice slider rolls in half horizontally, keeping the rolls intact. Place the bottom half in a baking dish.
Layer ham evenly over the bottom half, then add turkey, and top with Swiss cheese slices. Place the top half of the rolls over the layers.
In a bowl, whisk together eggs and milk. Brush the tops of the rolls with the egg mixture or dip each sandwich if preferred for extra richness.
Cover loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove foil, brush with melted butter, and bake uncovered for 5 more minutes or until golden.
Remove from oven and dust with powdered sugar. Slice and serve warm with a side of jam for dipping.
Additional Tips or Variations
Swap Swiss cheese for Gruyère or provolone
Use maple butter for a touch of extra sweetness
Add a thin spread of Dijon mustard for tang
Try croissant dough instead of rolls for a flakier texture
