Old Time Oven Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler is a classic baked dessert. It is a layered dessert of fruits, butter and flour mixture, all baked at once.

People love it for the butteriness from the crust and the tartness from the peaches that go well-balanced with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. I remember ordering them often at the neighborhood cafe. With this recipe it gets simple to have them at home. I add a hint of powdered nutmeg and cinnamon to the crumbly crust and the aroma is just amazing. You may also add some grated lemon zest to the peaches as it will balance the sweetness of the cobbler. I make them in big portions at once and my family enjoys them after dinner and sometimes during high tea. Peach cobbler makes a perfect midnight snack as well, though not the healthiest option !

You could have them as a cheat day dessert for sure.
