Tips for Success
Drain canned peaches well if not using fresh. Roll the dough tightly around the peach slices to keep the filling secure. Pour the sauce evenly over the rolls to coat them during baking. Let the rolls cool slightly before serving so the sauce thickens. Serve with ice cream for the ultimate experience.
Ingredients
2 cans crescent roll dough
2 cups sliced peaches (fresh, canned, or frozen and thawed)
1/2 cup unsalted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 cup lemon-lime soda (like Sprite or 7UP)
Directions
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. If using fresh peaches, peel and slice them. Unroll crescent dough and separate into triangles. Place a peach slice at the wide end of each triangle and roll up tightly. Arrange the rolls in the baking dish. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and vanilla until smooth and bubbling. Pour the mixture evenly over the rolls. Pour soda around the edges of the pan, avoiding the tops of the rolls. Bake for 35–40 minutes or until golden and bubbly. Let cool for 10 minutes before serving.
Additional Tips or Variations
Add chopped pecans or walnuts to the sauce for crunch. Use apples or pears instead of peaches for a seasonal variation. Add a dash of bourbon or rum extract to the sauce for an adult twist. Drizzle with a simple glaze or serve with whipped cream for added sweetness.
