SALTED CARAMEL CRACKER BITES

These bites are perfect for gifting, snacking, or serving at parties. You can also customize them by adding chopped nuts, drizzling white chocolate, or even using different types of crackers. Once you try them, they’re sure to become a go-to treat whenever you need something simple but impressive.

Ingredients
200g salted crackers (like saltines or Ritz)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
1/2 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)

Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper and arrange the crackers in a single layer.
In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter and brown sugar together. Stir constantly until it comes to a boil, then let it boil for about 3 minutes without stirring too much.
Remove from heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
Pour the hot caramel evenly over the crackers, spreading it gently to cover all pieces.
Bake in the oven for 5 to 7 minutes until the caramel is bubbly.
Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle the chocolate chips over the hot caramel. Let them sit for a couple of minutes to melt, then spread the chocolate evenly.
Sprinkle sea salt over the top.
Allow the mixture to cool completely, then break into bite-sized pieces.
