Smoked ribeye with a lobster tail, asparagus, garlic toast and shrimp

This meal might sound fancy, but it’s surprisingly manageable when you break it down step by step. It’s all about timing and using quality ingredients. Once everything comes together, you’ll have a restaurant-quality plate that looks stunning and tastes even better.

Ingredients:

  • 1 ribeye steak (1–1.5 inch thick)
  • 1 lobster tail
  • 8–10 large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
  • 1 bunch asparagus (trimmed)
  • 4 slices bread
  • 4 tbsp butter (divided)
  • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp steak seasoning
  • Fresh parsley (optional)
  • Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the ribeye (smoking): Season the ribeye generously with salt, pepper, and steak seasoning. Preheat your smoker to 110°C (225°F). Smoke the steak for about 45–60 minutes, or until it reaches an internal temperature of 50°C (120°F) for medium-rare.
  2. Sear the steak: Heat a skillet or grill to high heat. Sear the smoked ribeye for 1–2 minutes per side in a bit of butter to create a crust. Remove and let it rest.
  3. Cook the lobster tail: Cut the lobster shell down the middle and open it slightly. In a pan, melt 1–2 tbsp butter with garlic. Place the lobster meat in the butter and cook for 5–6 minutes, basting continuously until opaque.
  4. Cook the shrimp: Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika. In a skillet, heat olive oil and sauté shrimp for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and cooked through.
  5. Sauté the asparagus: In the same or another pan, add a bit of butter or oil and cook asparagus for 5–7 minutes until tender-crisp. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Make garlic toast: Mix softened butter with minced garlic. Spread on bread slices and toast in a pan or oven until golden and crispy.
  7. Assemble the plate: Slice the ribeye, place alongside the lobster tail, shrimp, asparagus, and garlic toast. Garnish with parsley and serve with lemon wedges.

Serve hot and enjoy a rich, restaurant-style surf-and-turf meal right at home.
