WORLDS BEST CHOCOLATE NO BAKE BARS

Give the oven a break! Whip up a batch of these 7 ingredient chocolate peanut butter no bake cookies. This family favorite recipe is super simple and best of all, the cookies are deliciously addictive.

At first glance, traditional chocolate no bake recipes—made with wholesome oatmeal instead of flour—might seem like a healthy choice.

But with half a cup of butter and TWO full cups of refined sugar packed into traditional no bake bar recipes, they’re really not even close!

You get all of the wholesome ingredients without all the extra butter and sugar.

I swapped out the sugar here for pure maple syrup and have also cut way back on the sweetener in general.

And I substituted protein-rich peanut butter for the butter.

These are seriously the BEST No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bars and they make such a fabulous afternoon snack. They combine the ever popular chocolate and peanut butter, which I just cannot resist, and they’re actually pretty healthy! My 4 year old twins made these with very little help from me, so you know they really are easy!

Ingredients:

1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup honey
1/2 cup unrefined coconut oil (be sure to use unrefined for the coconut flavor)
2 cups dry oats (not instant)
1 C shredded coconut
1/2 C chopped walnuts (optional)
1 1/4 cups dark chocolate chips
1 t vanilla extract

 

Instructions:

Melt peanut butter, honey and coconut oil over medium-low heat. Once melted, remove from heat and add oats, shredded coconut, chocolate chips and vanilla. Stir until chocolate is entirely melted. Pour into a 9×13 pan and cool in the fridge. When it’s set, cut into bars and enjoy. Store in the fridge. If they last that long
