Autumn Apple Cake

Apples were a popular crop at Shaker communities in New England, and residents used them in pies and cakes like this one. Use a sweet, crisp apple such as Pink Lady, Braeburn, or Sundowner in this recipe.
I think you’ll agree this apple cake is simply irresistible. It’s nicely crisp on top and moist and chewy inside. This lovely lightly spiced cake was made with abundant windfall apples in my good friends garden, from a tree that I’ve baked many a yummy apple cake and dessert over the years. Try this simple yet impressive Autumn Apple Cake using your Russell Hobbs Blender. It has a delicious almost caramel flavour to it and the apples give it a lovely texture. Ingredients:
5-7 apples
1 (9 ounce) package yellow cake mix
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
1 stick real butter

Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350°F
Fill your 9×12 pan 1/2 full with apples which you’ve peeled, cored and sliced thin
Sprinkle the apples with dry cake mix
Combine sugar and cinnamon and sprinkle over the cake mix
Melt butter and drizzle over
Bake for 30 minutes or until golden brown
Can be served with ice cream, if desired…
You can also use other fruits for this cake… yummmmy
