CHOCOLATE COBBLER

“Rich, wonderful old-timey like cobbler!!!! Great for potlucks and get-togethers. Fast, easy and always a hit! Great with ice cream!!”

I didn’t have self-rising flour, so I substituted with 1 cup of all-purpose flour and 1.5 teaspoons of baking powder. I didn’t change anything else, and this dessert turned out very well. It is not too sweet or too decadent, but it satisfies a chocolate craving. I let it cool until it was just warm and the sauce was thickening, and then served it in bowls with scoops of vanilla ice cream. I will definitely make this again.

Chocolate Cobbler is a classic Southern dessert recipe. With a delicious brownie-like topping and a rich fudge sauce on the bottom, this Chocolate Cobbler is like a lava cake but so much easier to make. Great for reunions, potlucks, and more!

I am a chocoholic and not afraid to admit it. I’ll take a dark, rich, oozy dessert over a fruit-based one any day. So while this “chocolate cobbler” is really no cobbler at all, it doesn’t mean I’m not going to eat it. And like it. I don’t judge!
