Ingredients
4 medium apples, peeled, cored, and sliced
3 tablespoons butter
1/3 cup brown sugar

Directions
Melt butter in a large skillet over medium heat.
Add sliced apples and stir to coat in butter.
Sprinkle in brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Stir well.
Reduce heat to medium-low and cook apples, stirring occasionally, for 10–15 minutes or until tender and lightly caramelized.
Stir in vanilla extract and lemon juice if using, then cook another minute.
