Today we’re presenting a simple method that will help you get rid of mold and the unpleasant odor from your washing machine. The main ingredient is tea tree oil, an essential oil from Australia which has been used in different ways by the Aborigines. They crushed the leaves of the plant and used them to heal wounds and burns on the skin. Tea tree oil cannot be found naturally on another place on Earth.
A century ago, Australian scientists discovered that tea tree oil is a 100 times stronger antiseptic than carbolic acid, the most popular germicide at that time. The powerful antiseptic properties of the oil can treat numerous respiratory problems, from asthma to runny nose, besides treating rashes, burns, infections, dandruff, etc. It also disinfects surfaces and eliminates bacteria and mold.
Here’s how to remove mold in your home with the help of tea tree oil:
- Tea tree oil
Mix 2 teaspoons of tea tree oil with 2 cups of water, and pour the mixture into a spray bottle. Spray the moldy areas in your home and wipe away – you will be amazed by the results!
