Ingredients
For the Cake:

β’ Β½ tsp salt

β’ 1 cup whole milk
β’ 1 Β½ cups fresh strawberries, finely chopped
For the Strawberry Glaze:
β’ 1 cup fresh strawberries, mashed
β’ 1 Β½ cups powdered sugar
β’ 2 tbsp milk (adjust for desired consistency)
β’ 1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat & Prep:
Preheat your oven to 350Β°F (175Β°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan (or two 9-inch round pans for a layered cake).
2. Mix the Dry Ingredients:
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
3. Cream Butter & Sugar:
In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
4. Combine Wet & Dry:
Alternately add the flour mixture and milk to the batter, beginning and ending with the flour mixture. Gently fold in the chopped strawberries.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan(s) and bake for 30-35 minutes (round cakes) or 40-45 minutes (9×13-inch cake), until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let the cake cool completely before glazing.
6. Make the Glaze:
In a bowl, whisk together mashed strawberries, powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until smooth. Adjust the consistency by adding more milk if needed.
